Doryann and I participated in the Basque Culinary Tour including Southwest France. International Culinary Tours made thoughtful arrangements for hotels, local guides, transportation, our delicious Basque food, cooking classes, markets and visits to wineries. Our small group laughed a lot on each day’s adventures. During the days and evenings we walked in Bilbao and San Sebastian trying the many Pinxtos bars, explored the hills, small streets and beaches by foot and visited museums as well. We partook in street food as well as fine dining. Our guides shared with us the beautiful art and architecture of the Guggenheim museum as well as the traditional and contemporary wineries in the La Rioja wine region. Our visit to Southwest France was also full of activities including our visits to medieval villages and the Castles of the Dordogne Valley and wineries in the Bordeaux region. We enjoyed the hospitality at our 17th century Chateau in Monflaquin, France where we stayed. We look forward to another tour with International Culinary Tours!

Our tour to Southwest France was an unforgettable experience with International Culinary Tours. We stayed at a 17th century Chateau and the owners shared their wine expertise, wonderful French food and cooking classes with our group. The Chateau offered top notch accommodations with all modern conveniences. Surrounded by rolling green hills, sheep farms, medieval cities and castles, it truly was an experience to remember. We hope to travel with International Culinary Tours again very soon!

Our tour to the Basque region of Spain was very well organized and enjoyable. I have very high standards and usually find something to complain about. However, on this tour, I had only good things to say about International Culinary Tours. The owner, Cindy Stephan, attended to every detail and was very attentive to each and every one of our needs. I was experiencing health issues and Cindy made sure to check in with me often to see how I was doing. Incidentally, she did this with other group members as well! The accommodations were first class and centrally located, and all of our guides and local chefs were passionate about their cities and locally grown food respectively. We learned so much about the local cuisine and not to forget, the wine tours and tastings were fabulous! I hope to go on another tour with International Culinary Tours some day.

I have travelled on 3 tours with International Culinary Tours to Provence, Tuscany and the Basque Region of Spain. All of the accommodations have been unique and centrally located, the food has been fantastic and the cooking classes very instructive and fun. ICT offers a very favorable single supplement for those who would like their own accommodations. Also, we make our best effort to match up solo travelers if they would like double occupancy rates rather than pay for a single supplement.
